Architect. (2010), MSc Arch. (2012) and PhD (2020) from the University of Valladolid (Spain). He currently works as Head of Strategy and Business Development at CARTIF Technology Centre. He collaborates with the University of Valladolid, where he has been Associate Professor (2016-2017) and contributes to the Architecture and Energy Research Group. He was appointed Visitor Researcher Fellowship at the School of Architecture, Design and Built Environment at Nottingham Trent University (2015). His research and teaching fields are related to Energy Efficient Buildings and Smart and Sustainable Cities, focusing on energy performance improvement and building/district renovation, Building Energy Performance Simulation (BEPS) and Building Information Modelling (BIM). He has coordinated the EU-H2020 funded REMOURBAN (www.remourban.eu), and OptEEmAL (www.opteemal-project.eu) projects. He has contributed to several relevant national and international conferences related to sustainability and energy efficiency, and is a member of the Technical Committee of the Spanish Nearly Zero Energy Buildings (NZEB) Conferences and an expert member of SHC Task 59 – Deep Renovation of historic buildings towards the lowest possible energy demand and CO2 emissions.
