Cátia Alves is the Director of Sustainability and Corporate Responsibility at UCI, Unión de Créditos Inmobiliarios, an entity specialising in sustainable financing. With a degree in Economics from the Technical University of Lisbon, an MBA in Business Administration and Management, and a track record of more than 18 years, Alves, 41, has been a member of the Management Committee of the Groupama Insurance Company and has held leadership positions at the EY consultancy firm. Since joining UCI in 2014, Cátia Alves has held positions in Internal Audit and Risk Management, where she was responsible for the implementation of the Enterprise Risk Management project. In addition, since 2017, she has led the Green Mortgages & Loans project, the initiative that promotes the purchase of energy-efficient homes and the rehabilitation of the housing stock as a strategy to contribute to the decarbonisation of the European economy. In her current role, Catia is responsible for developing sustainable transformation as a strategic line of the financial institution.
